FAQ
Also referred to as Cosmetic Tattooing, Semi Permanent Make or Micropigmentation is a method of implanting skin safe pigments into the upper dermal layers of the skin. Working superficially we can produce a finer, high detailed, immaculate finish that perfectly mimics your every day make up and hair growth. We offer a range of different PMU styles including; Ombre Eyebrows, Combination Eyebrows, Hair Stroke Eyebrows, Powder Eyebrows, Microblading, Lip Blush and Eyeliner Treatments.
We can’t promise it to be 100% painless but we can promise to keep you as comfortable as possible using specialist products before and during your treatment. The amount of discomfort felt during a treatment will vary from person to person and will depend on your individual pain threshold. We find the majority of my clients find it less painful than threading or plucking and at most describe it as a small scratchy sensation.
The good news is there is no downtime and you can resume your normal day to day activities straight away, however the treatment area will need to stay dry for a minimum of 10 days. Some swelling and redness can occur for the first 24 – 48 hours and during this time all discomfort will pass. It is then followed by 10 days of healing in which the skin will heal over, the colour will lighten, and you will see the full result in six to eight weeks time.
Permanent Make up, inclusive of Eyebrows, Eyeliners and Lip Blush treatments last anywhere from two to five years with an average time of three years. Over time the colour will gradually begin to fade out of the skin. We recommend popping in for a colour boost annually or bi-annually to keep your semi permanent make up looking maintained however if left the pigment will gradually fade out the skin.
We welcome all clients to attend a free of charge consultation to discuss your desired outcome. This gives you a chance to meet Amy as she guides you through the process from start to finish and at your own pace. Using advanced, specialist knowledge she will advise and design a bespoke treatment plan designed around you and your lifestyle and according to your skin type to ensure the highest standard of healed result upon leaving the clinic. Amy’s ultimate goal is to enhance your natural beauty and provide realistic and beautiful healed results that compliment your features. Together she will discuss everything from shape, colour to style and guide you through the process.
On the day of your treatment she will meticulously design your new eyebrows, lips or eyeliner and will ensure you are completely happy with the shape before undertaking any treatment. Once you are happy with the shape, design and colour the application of the pigment begins.
Treatments take between 2-3 hours followed by a second 1.5 hour touch up appointment six weeks later once the first session has healed. The touch up appointment is the final step to perfect any imperfections that have occurred during the healing process.
I use only the highest standard and safest products on the market which are designed to be hypoallergenic and are suitable for even the most sensitive of skin types. To be sure all clients must undergo a patch test during their consultation prior to treatment.

If you have previous permanent make up a consultation must be had before booking. On some occasions if the old work has faded we can re-work or correct. Together we can go through options in a face to face consultation.
Yes absolutely! I often say the two treatments go hand in hand and give optimal results together. I recommend having your fillers done a minimum of 6 weeks before having lip blush.
The skin will go through a healing period for 10-14 days in which you may experience some mild flaking and tenderness. The area will need to be kept dry for this duration and the aftercare given needs to be followed for optimal results.
